I had an amazing experience with Dr Ntanos, I had top surgery (Double incision with free nipple grafts). In my consultation Dr Ntanos was welcoming and comforting and listed a lot of information and showed me lots of results including all body types (I'd recommend taking something to write down information on as I found I was forgetting things as soon as I left the clinic). I had also prepared a list of questions beforehand which he answered and encouraged me to ask questions to address any of my concerns. He also had to do a physical exam which he did quickly as he knew I was uncomfortable, he measured my chest quickly, wrote down the measurements and left me behind the curtain to get myself dressed. I was completely comfortable in his presence. He did not make me feel bad for binding too often (15 hours a day+) but expressed that I should stop this 2-3 weeks before the surgery, this was something I was worried about as over binding is often looked down upon (as it can cause injury) but this was something I felt I had to do pre operation. I booked my top surgery then and there for 7 months after. On my surgery date I arrived at the Pines hospital at 7:30 ( I could take one person in with me but they had to leave whilst I was in surgery and come back when I woke up ) the nurses were very welcoming and took me to my room, they gave me a gown and compression socks and told me to put them on as soon as possible (I'd recommend taking a dressing gown and slippers). The nurses came and admitted me, did my blood tests and gave me menus for me to fill out. The room was very nice and I passed the time by watching the TV as I was very nervous. Dr Ntanos saw me before my operation to draw on my chest and asked me if I had any last minute concerns or questions. I was told I would be having the surgery at 11 and I was taken up to theater by one of the nurses at 10:40. Every one there was very nice and one doctor spoke to me whilst I was laid there and every thing was getting prepared (This really helped as I was very nervous at this time) I saw Dr Ntanos briefly before I was put under. I woke up in a similar room at around 1:20 and was taken back up to my room. I was told I could leave the same day as long as I could eat, drink and use the toilet. All the nurses were very nice and tested my blood pressure and brought my food and drink. Dr Ntanos came to see me before I left and checked my chest and gave me the all clear. I was given a pack to take home which included pain medication, information leaflets and some cute stickers from Dr Ntanos. Dr Ntanos also gave me his personal number to contact him if I had any questions which I did a few times with almost instant responses (Even on weekends). I recently had my 2 weeks post op appointment which went just as well, he removed my dressings and my post op binder and said all looked good and recommended I kept my post op binder for any one else who needs it. Overall I had a great experience with Dr Ntanos, he not only is an amazing surgeon but is also a huge ally for the LGBT+ community and is constantly campaigning for equality.

I had top surgery with Dr Ntanos on 25/7/2023 and could not be happier with the experience. During the whole process I felt reassured and had all my questions answered. The surgery itself went well and I received great care from the nurses at the hospital. During recovery I was able to message Dr Ntanos to check my recovery was going well and he replied quickly and was incredibly reassuring and helpful. Despite currently dealing with my incisions reopening (which is improving thanks to Dr Ntanos's advice) I'm so happy with my results. I couldn't recommend him more

I had top surgery with Dr. Ntanos on 01/08/2023. He provided top quality care and reiterated and went over the type of surgery I was having again before going down to theatre. He was very respectful, particularly when doing the surgical markings on my chest, showing his awareness of how this is not an easy thing for a trans person, though necessary. He continues to fight for a greater, more diverse society and demonstrates that in his continued work and education. I feel a huge sense of relief following my surgery and looking forward to having my dressings removed in a couple of weeks. I am extremely grateful and appreciative of your work Dr. Ntanos. Thank you very much.

Mr Ntanos is an amazing surgeon, even from the initial consultation he explained the process in detail which was incredibly helpful and was happy to answer any questions I had which really put me at ease. I have an additional disability and was a bit worried about how this might impact the procedure but after my consultation with him I felt confident on the day of surgery and knew I was in good hands and the results of the surgery are brilliant! The nursing staff at the pines were also very kind, caring and respectful.
